ABOUT ME

My birthday is November 10 and I am currently a sophomore in college. I am a child of immigrants and a first-generation American. Growing up, it was interesting experiencing two different cultures, Jamaican at home and American outside. I believe it has given me multiple perspectives on different topics compared to if I had only been exposed to one culture. The people in my life who heavily influence me are my mom, grandma, and sister. They are three women from three generations and hearing their different experiences in the world is eye-opening and encouraging. “Closed mouths don’t get fed”, that was the motto used a lot in my family. They are very outspoken and will tell you their mind. When I was younger it was hard to adopt that motto into my everyday life. Being in a familial environment was easy but when I was out in the world I could not voice my opinions and thoughts freely. As I grow more into the person I am meant to be I take steps to speak ut more and use my voice. One of those steps is this website. I have always enjoyed watching movies. I try to notice the small details that were put into creating such art. I am excited to have a platform where I can freely share my opinions with any and everybody and hopefully give them some joy through my reviews. Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a great day!
